The No. 12-ranked Boise State Broncos (9-1, 6-0 Mountain West), led by their Heisman-contending star Ashton Jeanty, will clash against the Wyoming Cowboys (2-8, 2-4) on the road in Week 13 on Saturday. The Broncos have a chance to clinch their spot in the Mountain West Conference championship game with a win against the Cowboys.
The game will be held at War Memorial Stadium in Wyoming and televised on CBS at 7 p.m. E.T. The Broncos are firm two-touchdown favorites according to Bet MGM and hold the historical advantage (17-1) in the matchup.
Boise State Injury Report
Mason Randolph and Roger Carreon
The Boise State Broncos lost center Mason Randolph to an upper-body injury during the team's season-opening 56-45 win against the Georgia Southern Eagles.
The next week, the Broncos lost guard Roger Carreon to a broken leg in their 37-34 loss to the Oregon Ducks in Week 2. During his weekly news conference, Boise State coach Spencer Danielson gave an update on the two injured stars.
“Mason’s got a shot at getting back. We’ll see what happens. There’s a lot that goes into that one, with him being hurt in the first game,” Danielson said. “They’re getting close, and as we get to the end of the season, we’re going to make some decisions.
“Obviously, first and foremost, are they medically ready to play? And then from there, we’ll make decisions on if they will (play) or not.”
Wyoming Injury Report
Sebastian Harsh and Braden Siders
The Wyoming Cowboys will be without two starters, Sebastian Harsh and Braden Siders, who did not play against the Colorado State Rams in Week 12 of college football action.
During his weekly news conference, Wyoming coach Jay Sawvel revealed that Harsh was out for the season with his knee injury and Siders would be a game-time decision against the Boise State Broncos.
Against the Rams, the Cowboys allowed 446 yards (248 yards on the ground), with Siders and Harsh unavailable to stop Colorado State from running riot. The duo's absence does not bode well for Wyoming, with the influential Ashton Jeanty in unstoppable form.
Michael Gyllenborg
Wyoming tight end Michael Gyllenborg is carrying a collarbone/shoulder injury, and Sawvel said he would be evaluated for the Week 13 clash. The Cowboys have a more extensive injury list headed into Saturday's contest against the Broncos, with the Boise State injury report looking more optimistic.
