Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who arrived at Bouler in 2023, lifted the program from 1-11 season in 2022 to 4-8 in 2023 and 9-4 in 2024, which included a Bowl game appearance for the first time since 2020. As he bids adieu to the college football world, turning professional next year, he can rest easy knowing that the QB room is in good hands.

Julian "JuJu" Lewis, the No. 6 quarterback in the nation, flipped his commitment from USC to Colorado last month, joining Deion Sanders' program, aiming to take Shedeur & Co.'s legacy ahead.

After Saturday's Alamo Bowl game, the final time Shedeur suited up for Colorado, Lewis took to X (formerly Twitter), bidding farewell to the quarterback, who's expected to get picked inside the first five picks of the 2025 NFL draft.

"You left huge shoes to fill, but I promise to work to leave @CUBuffsFootball even better than I found it. Forever grateful 🙏🏽," Lewis promises Shedeur to take the program to new heights.

Fans reacted to the post. Some took a dig at him expecting shortfalls for Colorado in the coming future, while others feel that he may not live up to expectations.

"He gone transfer," one fan wrote.
"Bro better not choke on them words," another added.
"Big shoes to fill ... gotta score more than 14 on BYU," another take a dig.
"He not starting next year," another predicted.
"Juju a upcoming freshman right," another asked.
"Passed the torch," a fan commented.
"You might as well hit the portal bruh. You saw it last night yourself. You ain't got a run game to help you out," another wrote.

JuJu Lewis expects Shedeur Sanders to get picked by the New York Giants

Shedeur Sanders is expected to be one of the top two quarterbacks getting picked off the draft board. He will have Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward competing him on that hold.

Among the several NFL teams, those expected to pick a quarterback inside the first five are the New York Giants and the Las Vegas Raiders. JuJu Lewis shared where he thinks the Buffs quarterback is going.

“I’m just spectating future New York Giants quarterback,” Lewis said in the now-viral locker room video. “I’m so inspired. I get to watch [Sander] and Travis Hunter every day.”

The smooth transition in the QB room should help Buffaloes continue to do better even after the exit of Shedeur Sanders and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter.
