Without a doubt, Shedeur Sanders is a coveted pick in the 2025 NFL draft. The Colorado quarterback is in line to be the first player in his position to be selected in the draft. This has resulted in a lot of speculation over the months around his potential landing spot in 2025.

A report by "NFL Rookie Watch" on social media says Shedeur Sanders will be drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders or the Dallas Cowboys in April. This will see the quarterback reject a couple of teams that could be high on the draft, following in the footsteps of Eli Manning.

“Shedeur Sanders is reportedly 'prepared' to be drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders or the Dallas Cowboys in the upcoming NFL Draft,” the report said. “There is reportedly a 'high likelihood' Sanders would refuse to play if he was drafted by either the Giants or Browns.
“Similar to how Eli Manning refused to play for the Chargers in the 2004 NFL Draft. Many NFL scouts reportedly believe the Giants will end up 'settling' for Cam Ward, knowing Sanders wouldn’t play for them.”

However, Deion Sanders Jr. was quick to defend his brother on the social media post. He debunked the entire report about Shedeur Sanders, giving a new perspective regarding his draft possibilities.

“Bro is completely lying about everything he just tweeted,” Deion Sanders Jr. wrote.

Deion Sanders once said Shedeur Sanders will pull an Eli Manning

Earlier this year, Deion Sanders offered a clue on the draft possibility of Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter. The Colorado coach emphasized that the quarterback and the two-way star will dictate their destinations in the 2025 NFL Draft, flipping the traditional narrative.

According to Sanders, the decision will rest on their evaluation, rather than being solely determined by draft rankings or team selections. This will see them follow in the footsteps of Eli Manning, who rejected the San Diego Chargers in 2004.

"I know where I want them to go," Sanders told the 'Million Dollaz Worth of Game' podcast in March. "So, it's certain cities that ain't going to happen. It's going to be an Eli."

On the podcast, Deion Sanders hinted at potential destinations for Shedeur and Travis, noting that there are "certain cities that fit." He specifically mentioned San Francisco, Dallas, Washington and Baltimore as possible landing spots, fueling a lot of speculation.

"There were certain cities that fit (for me)," Sanders said. "Atlanta fit, and I want that for my kids. All of them. I want the right fit. (Atlanta) was the first time I saw Black people in positions of authority. It blew my mind. It was real in Atlanta. I had never seen anything like that in my life.”

There are currently a lot of uncertainties regarding Shedeur Sanders’ landing spot in the 2025 NFL. His recent visit to New York has sparked the possibility of him getting picked by the Giants.
