Arch Manning - who has a NIL valuation of $3.1 million, according to On3 Sports - joined the Texas Longhorns as one of the most highly-touted prospects in college football history. The five-star prospect and top-ranked overall recruit in the 2023 recruiting class did not see the field much as a true freshman, completing two of his five pass attempts for 30 yards.
While there had been talks that Manning could opt out of appearing in EA Sports College Football 25, the Longhorns quarterback is set to feature in the game. CBS Sports College Football shared that he will have an 87 overall rating, which will likely be the highest of any backup player:
". @TexasFootball QB Arch Manning is an 87 in EA Sports College Football 25 👀"

Fans shared a mixed reaction to the news that Manning would receive such a high rating. @CME_Ag01 believes there had been talk beforehand about this rating:
"Bro negotiated his rating before opting in.... 😂🤣😂🤣"
@KUBS15 felt that the rating was fair based on his talent level, noting that he could have opted to transfer and start elsewhere:
"Pretty solid rating to be honest. I think it highlights the fact even more that he’s patiently waiting his opportunity to start for Texas. In the era of the transfer portal this is true commitment."
@drankthewine suggested that any confusion over his rating will be settled this season:
"The world will get a look at Arch this year. I hope Ewers doesn't get hurt, but if history proves correct, he'll probably miss a game or two. People can judge for themselves at that point."
@SenzuPlugg questioned the rating system:
"How he an 87 but when I start rtg as a 5 star ima 79? Doesn’t make sense"
@HuskerWave noted that Manning has not played a full game:
"He hasn’t played a full game 😂"
@LukeBaird2016 expected his rating to be in the range it landed:
"This is pretty reasonable considering the hype that Arch Manning is getting IRL. Not sure if it's realistic, but I was expecting something like this honestly."
Arch Manning reportedly received a five-figure payout from EA Sports
Arch Manning is already among the biggest names in college football due to his family's history in the sport. He reportedly received a hefty payday to promote EA Sports College Football 25. Pete Nakos of On3 Sports broke the news, tweeting:
"NIL Whispers: EA Sports paid Texas QB Arch Manning between $50-60K to promote College Football 25, @On3sports has learned. The former No. 1 overall recruit in the 2023 class will also receive $600 and a copy of the game for opting in."

The payout boosts Manning's impressive list of sponsors. The Texas Longhorns quarterback trails only Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders in terms of the highest NIL valuation in college football.
