Quinn Ewers has been a topic of discussion among college football fans in the past few weeks. The Texas quarterback has been linked with a return to the college circuit in the 2025 season, with some suggesting that he could play at a different program before going pro.
While there is still uncertainty about Ewers' future, college football analyst Bruce Feldman has highlighted some concerns around the QB that could come from NFL scouts and Southeastern Conference coaches.
Speaking on the "The Rich Eisen Show" on Tuesday, Feldman said (0:35):
"Maybe in the next couple of games, he (Ewers) will go on a roll. I mean, the concern you hear from scouts and definitely from SEC coaches who respect him and think he's got good arm talent and think he's a really good college quarterback, is when he has to add, live and improvise when the mistakes happen. And he has been inconsistent."
On Tuesday, On3 reported that Ewers received a $6 million offer to enter the transfer portal to join a new program for the 2025 college football season. While Ewers could remain at Texas next season, the Longhorns reportedly have plans to give Arch Manning the starting role at quarterback next season.
While Ewers had a strong start to the 2024 season, he struggled with a few injuries that derailed his momentum. Since Ewers was not at his best in the closing stages of the regular season, some Texas fans even called for Manning to lead the offense in the College Football Playoff.
