The Texas Longhorns beat Arizona State 39-31 in double overtime in their Peach Bowl clash on Wednesday. Just a day after the Sun Devils' elimination from the College Football Playoff in the quarterfinal, their running back Cam Skattebo shared his thoughts about the game and more.

"A couple of their (Longhorns) offensive linemen tracked me down after the game," Skattebo said. "They said, 'You're a hell of a running back.' Arch Manning came over and said, 'What's up!' to lift my spirit a little bit. But I just walked off the field. I was heartbroken."
Despite Texas' celebrations after the win, Manning went over to a few opponent players to lift their spirits after the final whistle. Notably, the Texas quarterback was not used for the clash against ASU.
Arch is the nephew of multiple Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks, Eli and Peyton Manning. He is also the grandson of Archie Manning, the legendary quarterback who played 14 years in the big league. Many believe that Texas will start Arch as its quarterback next season to reportedly move on from QB1 Quinn Ewers.
Skattebo was one of the biggest threats for Texas in Wednesday's Peach Bowl. The Arizona State RB recorded 143 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries. He also posted 99 yards on eight receptions, but it wasn't enough for the Sun Devils to get past the Longhorns.
Arch Manning could play an important role in Texas' CFP semifinal vs. Ohio State
Although Texas coach Steve Sarkisian did not use Arch Manning against Arizona State, the quarterback could play a role for the Longhorns in their College Football Playoff semifinal against Ohio State on Jan. 10.
Manning has been a solid backup to Ewers this season. He finished the regular season with 939 passing yards, nine touchdowns and two interceptions while rushing for 100 yards and four touchdowns.
While Manning has shown his excellent passing ability, he has also impressed with his running game. These abilities could be handy for Texas, with the national championship now only two wins away.
