The college football world believes Arch Manning could follow a similar trail to Bronny James. Bronny was drafted 55th overall by the Los Angeles Lakers after his agent, Rick Paul, reportedly told a few teams not to draft him so he could go to LA, where his father, LeBron James, plays.

Following Bronny's holdout to be selected by the Lakers, college football fans believe Manning could do something similar.

"Can’t wait for the Giants to do something similar with Arch Manning in 3 years," a fan wrote.
"Nepotism is in every aspect of every profession. You don’t think when Arch Manning gets to the NFL he isn’t going top 5? And I love Peyton F’n Manning. I’m just being real. It happens all the time," a fan wrote.

Although Arch isn't the starting quarterback for the Texas Longhorns and won't be for another year, fans believe the Mannings will handle Arch's career similarly to how Bronny James' career has been managed.

"This is all I was saying. The Manning’s are doing the same thing with Arch." Another fan chimed in.
"I just know yall better be this outraged when Arch Manning get drafted like yall “outraged” for Bronny playing with LeBron James on the Lakers," a fan added.

A wide consensus is that Arch is a much better prospect than Bronny James.

"We're comparing Bronny to Arch Manning now??? What are we doing?!?! lmaooo," a fan added.
"When Arch is a Giant in 2026 with Eli and Peyton calling his game on Monday Night Football," a fan added.

Arch Manning is set to be the backup for Texas

Manning is entering his second year at the University of Texas and will be the backup quarterback to Quinn Ewers this season. Manning opted to remain at Texas despite Ewers' return, and Steve Sarkisian says he wasn't surprised at the decision.

"I get a chuckle out of this. Everyone praises Arch for staying at Texas ... he's going into Year 2, what do you mean," Sarkisian said, via 247Sports. "That's the mentality of ... and our locker room's not a whole lot different than everybody else, but that's the mentality.
"Good for Arch, he's sticking it out for Texas in Year 2 and I'm like, yeah, that's part of the process. We're developing him to be a great football player and great leader and he's going to be, but that's where we're at right now."

Manning is expected to take over as the starting QB for the Longhorns in 2025 and will likely play one season before entering the NFL draft.
