The Alabama Crimson Tide suffered a massive loss on the defensive side of the ball on Thursday afternoon, with a special announcement coming from a linebacker. The Crimson Tide previously capped their season off with a 19-13 upset loss versus Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl.

Alabama junior linebacker and former five-star recruit Jihaad Campbell announced his declaration to the 2025 NFL Draft with a post on social media.

"I feel like I am ready to take the next step in my career. I have been blessed to make it to this point, and I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for me. With that, I will officially be declaring for the NFL Draft," Campbell said in his announcement.

Alabama fans on X reacted to Jihaad Campbell's draft announcement in the comments of his post.

"You are a great person, great leader and great football player because you make each a priority," a fan commented in support. "So happy for you my man."
"Best wishes to you," another fan added. "One of our favorite Bama players to ever put on the Crimson jersey. Go be great in the NFL!"
"Can't wait to watch you soar," a third fan shared.

Fans continued their support of the junior linebacker in the comments of his post.

"Go continue to be great, young man," a fan commented. "Thanks for your time at the capstone."
"Roll Tide JC," another fan added. "Forever a legend. Thank you for everything."
"Made a big leap this year," a third fan posted. "Definitely a first-rounder. Be great."

Alabama stars Jalen Milroe, Jihaad Campbell declare for 2025 NFL Draft

Jihaad Campbell was joined by Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe in declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft. Milroe is projected to be a first-round pick, while Campbell is graded as the No. 37 prospect on PFF's Big Board.

Campbell is predominantly mocked as a second-round pick but some mock drafts sneak him into the first round, given his youth and immense potential. He is coming off a first-team All-SEC campaign in 2024, notching 119 total tackles, 12 for loss, and five sacks. He also forced two fumbles and grabbed an interception.

Jihaad Campbell, 21, is coming out as one of the most highly touted linebackers in the class. He has pro-ready size and some of the best tackling ability in the class, along with immense athleticism and explosiveness.

Milroe has been regarded as the QB3 in the class behind Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward and is likely to hear his name called on Day 1 of the 2025 Draft.
