This shouldn't come as a surprise, as Trey Benson enjoyed an impressive two-year stint with the Florida State Seminoles.

What can you expect from Trey Benson and the Cardinals in 2024?
The Arizona Cardinals drafted Trey Benson in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft. The former Florida State standout joins a running back room that features James Conner, Michael Carter, and Emari Demercado.
Benson became the 12th draft pick to sign a rookie deal with the Cardinals this year after he was offered a four-year contract on Thursday.
"I haven't been anxious," Benson said. "I knew it was going to happen at one point. I just kept my head down and continued to work."
He starts the season as the team's RB2 and will aim to make the most use of the touches he receives in a pass-heavy offense at Arizona. We expect Benson to take over the starting running back job sometime in the season. The franchise ended last season with a 4-13 record, the fourth-worst in the league.
Now the Cardinals have rookie wideout star Marvin Harrison on their roster, a fit again Kyler Murray, and the always improving Trey McBride at tight end. The Cardinals have no excuses for not making a postseason push in the upcoming season.
