Five-star quarterback prospect JuJu Lewis (Julian Lewis) was reclassified from the class of 2026 to 2025 in January this year. He committed to the USC Trojans last year but has visited other colleges over the past few weeks, including the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs.
He has also taken return visits with charismatic coach Deion Sanders' Colorado Buffaloes and has a visit scheduled with coach Hugh Freeze's Auburn Tigers.
CFB podcaster Zac Blackerby appeared on "The Next Round" podcast and made a bold claim about the future of JuJu Lewis and coach Freeze's Tigers.
"I know JuJu is technically committed to USC, but it certainly doesn't feel like he's committed to USC. He's gonna visit Auburn this weekend and several players that are already committed to Auburn are using this weekend as their official visit so they can spend more time with JuJu Lewis.
"This is an all-out push, an all-out effort and when all is said and done, JuJu Lewis will be Auburn's quarterback."
Programs try to flip JuJu Lewis from USC
JuJu Lewis has shown his admiration for USC coach Lincoln Riley, known as "the QB whisperer," and his development of quarterbacks as a key reason he committed to the program.
"Coach Riley being the quarterback coach and OC makes USC different than a lot of programs," Lewis said in a Bleacher Report interview. "He's proven, all he does is turn his quarterbacks into the best players in college football."
The Trojans have gone all in on Lewis and even turned away 2025's top quarterback Bryce Underwood of Belleville High School, Michigan, for an official visit.
The first program that Lewis visited was Kirby Smart's Georgia Bulldogs, and he explained the appeal in Athens.
"Georgia and Alabama have been recruiting me the hardest and have never stopped," Lewis said. "I know what the opportunity is at Georgia. The opportunity to win championships, be coached and developed for the next level and represent my home state."
On the weekend of May 31, Lewis visited the Indiana Hoosiers. He has a prior relationship with quarterbacks coach and co-offensive coordinator Tino Sunseri, whom he spoke highly of.
In Colorado, T.C. Lewis, the quarterback's father, has an existing relationship with Buffs coach Deion Sanders, and he has visited Boulder thrice, fuelling speculation that he will opt to become QB Shedeur Sanders' replacement.
Lewis sounded upbeat about Coach Prime's Colorado project during an interview with On3.
"Colorado is the biggest name popping right now," Lewis said. "Coach Prime going there really boosted their whole situation."
The USC Trojans have taken a huge risk betting all their chips on JuJu Lewis with signing day still months away. The On3 Sports Recruiting Prediction Machine gives the Georgia Bulldogs a 24.5% chance of flipping the talented quarterback over to their side.
