Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh finally fulfilled perhaps his biggest unfinished business at the college football level when he beat Washington to win the national championship.
For the last three seasons, Harbaugh has been linked to various NFL jobs, but this year, the speculation has become even stronger with all the NCAA troubles that have hounded him.
According to the NFL Network, Harbaugh will hold talks with the Los Angeles Chargers next week, perhaps for the final time.
CFB fans on X, who have mixed feelings towards the $35 million-valued enigmatic coach, did not hide their thoughts on the same. One tweeted:
"Hope it goes poorly!"

What do insiders say about Jim Harbaugh?
There has been a lot of speculation about Jim Harbaugh and his future in Ann Arbor since the natty win last week.
Sports Illustrated analyst Michael Rosenberg gave an insider's view on Jim Harbaugh and his future, covering his potential departure for the NFL or staying as the Michigan Wolverines coach.
"In NFL circles, there is a sense that Jim Harbaugh is ready to return to the pros. He just led Michigan to a national championship. He has said he wants to win a Super Bowl. He talked to NFL teams in each of the last two winters. He recently hired Don Yee, an agent with extensive experience negotiating NFL contracts, and he still has not signed the extension Michigan offered him last month," Rosenberg wrote.
"But people around Harbaugh and the Michigan program have a very different impression: He could leave, but he prefers to stay at Michigan."
Rosenberg added an encouraging nugget for Michigan fans:
"People familiar with the discussions say Harbaugh wants contractual assurance that, if the NCAA comes down hard on him based on information the school already has, Michigan cannot then fire him “for cause."
CFB insider and Michigan radio commentator also weighed in on the matter of Harbaugh's future on X:
"After talking with people who know more than I do, I believe Jim Harbaugh genuinely wants to stay at Michigan. He just "wants to know he's wanted," several told me, and it's not about the number. (He gave back $1.5M to department employees to compensate for Covid cutbacks.)"
The speculation will come as welcome news to Wolverines fans who are still on top of the world after last week's natty win.
It seems as if the future of the Wolverines coach is not as cut and dried as previously thought after he won the national championship a few weeks ago. He might yet stay and begin a dynasty at Michigan.
