It was one of the biggest recruiting weekends for FSU after hosting 20 official visitors this past weekend, among them some of the most highly-rated prospects in the country.

The Seminoles posted a clip of an entire offensive line with some of the visitors in teal blue uniforms. The clip was reposted on Rivals.com's Instagram page with the caption:

"Imagine all of this talent on one team 👀."

College football fans in the comments had mixed reactions to the FSU clip, with some excited at the potential while others cringed at the manner in which the visitors were used.

FSU lands highly-rated quarterback

The Seminoles and coach Mike Norvell have snagged the commitment of quarterback Brady Smigiel of Newbury Park in the class of 2026.

The four-star quarterback, according to On3, has visited Tallahassee several times before and in an interview with On3, detailed why he chose to join Florida State.

“Relationships made FSU right for me,” Smigiel said. “The way these coaches take care of the players is like nothing I’ve seen before. Tallahassee is a special place. It’s a town that really cares about the university and everyone loves to win."

According to On3, Smigiel is the No. 5 quarterback and No. 43 overall prospect in the class of 2026.

Smigiel was extensively recruited by quarterbacks coach Tony Tokarz. He chose the Seminoles over offers from the Miami Hurricanes, UCLA Bruins and Ole Miss Rebels.

The quarterback's father, Joe Smigiel, also mentioned to On3 the factors that swayed his son's decision to choose Florida State over other programs.

“They were always up top,” Smigiel’s father said. “It’s a great environment. Coach is a Christian, holds his teams accountable, family man, great staff and coaches.
"The offense is awesome and they put a big emphasis on school and developing them into men. Our family trusts this program with Brady’s development into being a leader and a man of faith.”

The Florida State Seminoles already hold the No. 1 recruiting class in the 2026 cycle and the addition of Brady Smigiel only boosts an already stellar group of prospects.
