Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders registered the moment of Week 4 college football action with his spectacular 43-yard Hail Mary pass that sent the Buffaloes game to overtime. The Buffs won the thrilling clash 38-31 after talented two-way star Travis Hunter caused Bears running back Dominic Richardson to fumble the ball near the endzone.
Shedeur's sister Shelomi Sanders was at Folsom Field for the game against the Baylor Bears. She documented the biggest moments of the game on her YouTube channel. When he threw the game-tying touchdown pass, Shelomi had a wholesome five-word reaction.
"Let's go! That's my brother!" Shelomi said.
Also present at the game was his mother, Pilar Sanders.
Shedeur Sanders gets praise from draft experts after Hail Mary TD
The Hail Mary pass by Shedeur Sanders reawakened the excitement among fans about the Colorado quarterback's immense potential. He received praise from all corners, including ex-ESPN Draft expert Todd McShay on X, who finds the Buffs QB the "best passer" of his class.
"Just finished all 94 plays of Colorado offense vs. Baylor," McShay tweeted. "Even excluding the Hail Mary, [Shedeur] was sensational. His receivers just don't have to work for the ball the way a lot of other prospects make their guys work. Best pure passer (anticipation, placement, throwing guys open, etc.) in the '25 class!"
During an appearance on ESPN's "First Draft," NFL draft expert Mel Kiper made a huge claim about Shedeur's draft stock ahead of the 2025 Draft.
"I've been thinking about this for weeks now," Mel Kiper said. "You take Shedeur Sanders, put him at Georgia, how would he do? If you took Shedeur Sanders and put him at Texas, how would he do? If you took Carson Beck, and put him at Colorado, how would he be looking right now? If you took Quinn Ewers, and put him at Colorado, how would he be looking?
"Shedeur Sanders has had to survive. I don't know any other quarterback that could, and still be out there... to keep getting back up and competing. I'm ready to put Shedeur at QB1, I really am, just because of that reason."
Sanders took the FBS by storm last season with his strong arm, spectacular passing and composure under duress, and it appears that despite Colorado's struggling offensive line, he is doing enough to persuade NFL executives that he is a worthy first-round pick.
