Coach Prime followed his ex-wife Pilar Sanders in hyping their son Shedeur, who was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year on Thursday. In an Instagram post, Deion Sanders flaunted his Colorado players' achievements, including that of Travis Hunter, who was awarded the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year.

"Thank u JESUS for everything you continue to do. The Lord is my Shepherd! #CoachPrime/Dad @db3_tip @shedeursanders" Sanders wrote in the caption of his IG post.

Pilar, who often celebrates her children's achievements on social media, also posted a special message on Instagram for Shedeur.

"CONGRATULATIONS SON YOU DESERVE IT! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ #proudmom #footballmom #shedeursmom #big12 #offenssiveplayeroftheyear #shedeursanders #cubuffsfootball" Pilar wrote in the IG caption.

Shedeur had a fabulous regular season with Colorado, as he completed 337 of 454 passes for 3,925 passing yards, 35 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He also added four rushing touchdowns on 91 carries across 12 games.

Shedeur led the Buffs to a 9-3 record (7-2 in Big 12). Although Colorado was unable to get a spot in the Big 12 title game, the Buffs might participate in a bowl game later in December.

Sheduer's father Deion also deserved credit for his work with Colorado. In his first season with the Buffs in 2023, Coach Prime's team finished with an underwhelming 4-8 record. However, Colorado has been one of the most improved teams in the country this year.

After Colorado's 52-0 demolition of Oklahoma State in Week 14 on Friday, Coach Prime suggested that his big stars would play in the Buffs' bowl game later in December.

This means that Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter are likely to take the field one last time for Colorado before they potentially declare for the NFL draft next year.

Notably, Shedeur and Hunter are in contention for the Heisman Trophy as well. However, Hunter appears to be the frontrunner for the coveted college football award.
