Colorado head coach Deion Sanders was recently rumored to move to the NFL as the new head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Coach Prime was 'very interested' in the position and stated that his NFL-related associates had reached out to the team to reach a possible agreement.

However, just a few hours after these rumors took the college football world by storm, a new report by The Athletic's Raiders reporters Vic Tarfur and Tashan Reed debunked these speculations, stating that the NFL team has 'zero interest' in hiring Deion Sanders, likely shutting down any potential possibility of the Colorado head coach taking over the Raiders after they fired Antonio Pierce at the end of the season.

College football fans took to social media to react to these new reports about Deion Sanders making a possible transition to the NFL. One fan stated that Coach Prime is not a good fit for the Las Vegas Raiders.

"Coach Prime can't handle Las Vegas!"

Another fan pointed out that these were baseless rumors right from the start.

"People start random rumors just to create a story because the Raiders probably never not one time thought of interviewing or hiring that man."

This fan commented that the Raiders would have hired Coach Prime only if they could draft his QB son Shedeur Sanders.

"They only wanted him if they was getting his son"

Another fan felt that Deion Sanders should continue focusing on achieving success with the Colorado Buffaloes.

"Why doesn't he just wanna stay at Colorado? He has a good thing going."

One fan made a sarcastic comment about the whole situation.

"Of course they don't , they're the raiders and love a losing culture"

Stephen A. Smith criticizes Deion Sanders for his condition to make the move to the NFL

Last week on 'Good Morning America,' the Colorado head coach stated that only one condition would entice him to take up a coaching job in the NFL — coaching both his sons Shedeur and Shilo professionally.

Stephen A. Smith discussed Deion Sanders' comments on Friday's 'First Take' episode. He talked about Sanders' limited coaching experience while comparing him to the likes of 7x natty champ Nick Saban.

"We ain't comparing him to Nick Saban," Smith said. "I've got love for what Deion has done, but he ain't no seven-time champion as a head coach on the college football level...When I think about Deion standing on a national television set and saying, 'If you coached your sons on an NFL level,' Deion knows about coaching in the NFL."
