Coach Prime’s daughter, Shelomi Sanders, added a touch of humor to Instagram after her standout performance for Alabama A&M on Tuesday.
Shelomi, an Alabama A&M guard and daughter of Deion Sanders and Pilar Sanders, hit a college career-high with 14 points, contributing two steals and a block to the Bulldogs' impressive 96-50 victory over Oakwood. Her steady free-throw shooting kept Alabama A&M in control throughout.
Prime Time took to Instagram to celebrate his daughter, posting clips of Shelomi’s game and a heartfelt message:
“I’m SO PROUD OF MY BABYGIRL! Bossy do yo thang baby. You took our Conversation to heart yesterday and sprinted with it. Love u baby. Don’t ever Stop letting them know you’re a Sanders. We’re built for Adversity! 14pts 2stls 1blk 1rb 10 min!!! Thank u JESUS for Opportunity.”
True to her playful spirit, Shelomi responded with her classic:
“dabooo daboo dabooo”
Even earlier, Deion had commented “DABOO” on one of her posts, adding to their fun social media back-and-forth.
Shelomi is also vocal about her journey with Type 1 Diabetes. In an interview for Dexcom’s Instagram, she opened up about the challenges she faced with the condition in September.
Alabama A&M marks her third college basketball team, as she previously was with Jackson State and Colorado.

Why did Shelomi Sanders leave her father’s Colorado program?
Shelomi Sanders revealed why she left her father’s Colorado program. A promising basketball talent, who previously played at Jackson State and Colorado, Shelomi surprised fans by transferring to Alabama A&M earlier this year.
After months of speculation, Shelomi shared her reasons in an open Instagram live chat on August 11 with Coach Freeman.
"For me, I would say, yeah, last year during the beginning where I just came home sad every day," she said.
Shelomi had struggled, ending her season as a redshirt due to an injury and logging just 11 minutes on the court.
"I was sad and mad like every day,” she added. “That and when I was at Jackson, like if I didn't leave when I did, I promise you I would have quit."
Though Shelomi didn't go into detail about the issues she faced, her comments hinted at deeper frustrations with the program.
