Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders took advantage of the Buffaloes' open week to take a trip to Las Vegas. He attended the third game of the WNBA playoff series between the Las Vegas Aces and the New York Liberty, which the Aces won 91-85.

After the game, Shedeur took pictures with Aces star A'ja Wilson and Dallas Mavericks ace Kyrie Irving. The quarterback's mother, Pilar Sanders, posted a photo on Instagram of her son's reception at the game as he did his iconic watch-tapping celebration.

"Shedeur at Aces-Liberty," Pilar captioned the post.

The Shedeur Sanders vs. Cam Newton beef addressed

Before the Colorado Buffaloes' clash against the UCF Knights in Week 5, former NFL star Cam Newton spoke to maverick quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who seemed to blow him off.

During an interview on the "4th and 1" podcast, Newton addressed the interaction, adding talented two-way star Travis Hunter to the conversation.

"It was contentious. It was a little awkward, not only with Shedeur but also with Travis [Hunter]. I’m not going to be like ‘Oh the media making this out to be.' It was little, 'Wait, hold up, wait what? You beefing with me? I’m not beefing with you.’ I don’t feel a certain type of way. I’ve always been a fan. Make no mistake about it," Newton said.

Newton further explained why the perceived beef between himself and the Buffs shows the difference between his generation and the younger generation and why it was all a misunderstanding.

"I think to protect our conversation — and I think I need to and will be obedient to that — I think the difference between this age of athletes versus the age of athletes, even when I was playing, is so direct to consumer where, and I even shared this with Shedeur," Newton said.
"I said, ‘Bro, there’s a lot of support for you and your father and even Colorado. You don’t see that because people don’t naturally dwell on the good.’"

Sanders has shown his willingness to cultivate beef and grudges between himself and his fellow players and anyone in the industry who criticizes him and the Buffs.
