Coach Prime dropped a heartwarming Instagram video for his mother, Connie Knight, thanking her for the role she played in his success as a player and a coach on Saturday. Less than a day later, Connie acknowledged her son's loving message, by reposting Deion Sanders' video on her Instagram story.

Connie also added three heart emojis to the post.

“My ma͏ma never cared about a͏ Louis (Vuitton) or͏ Gucci or Fendi or none of that,” S͏anders said in the video. "She never asked me for none of that bull junk. I gave her several diamond rings and I don't even know think she wears them."
"Only thing she wears, only thing she got is mink coats and everything. My mamma ain't even into that. My mama never asked me for a first-class flight."

Sanders has been outspoken about the hardships his mother went through while trying to raise him. When Sanders was in high school, Connie used to mop the floors of Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, Florida, to make a living and provide for her son.

Connie also never watched Sanders play football or baseball in high school because she was working. She then made it a habit to drive six hours just to watch her son play football on weekends when Sanders was at Florida State.

Sanders went on to have a successful career in the NFL and even won two Super Bowls. He has also established himself as a top college coach with the Colorado Buffaloes.

Despite his success over the years, Coach Prime has remained in awe of his mother's grounded nature.

Coach Prime transformed Colorado into one of the country's most improved teams during this season. The No. 20 CU finished 9-4 and also produced the Heisman Trophy winner, two-way star Travis Hunter.

Due to his work with the Buffs, Deion Sanders has been the subject of interest from a few NFL teams and some top college programs. However, Sanders has often said that he plans to honor his contract at Colorado and is expected to remain with the team for next season.

Colorado hired Sanders in December 2022. Coach Prime signed a reported five-year, $29.5 million deal. He has compiled a 13-12 overall record with the program across two seasons.
