However, the 22-year-old Colorado quarterback was not staying at home on potentially one of the biggest days in Hunter's life. He was dressed for the occasion in a black suit. However, it was his wristwatch that caught the attention.

In a video posted by Well Off Media, Shedeur showed off an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak. The video featured Deion Sanders Jr. in the background. When Sanders Jr. asked about the value of the watch, Shedeur said it was worth "$400K."

While not a Heisman finalist, Shedeur was one of the top performers for Coach Prime's team in the 2024 season. He, along with Travis Hunter and brother Shilo Sanders, will now take their football skills to the NFL next year. Shedeur is expected to be one of the top picks in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Shedeur Sanders backed by analyst after Heisman snub

The college football world was surprised when Shedeur didn’t get the nod for the 2024 Heisman Trophy shortlist as he had a sensational season leading the Buffaloes. While his teammate, Hunter, has been a favorite to win awards for the last two months, many expected Shedeur to share the podium with him.

The Colorado QB’s snub ignited debate among analysts like Joel Klatt. Speaking on ‘The Joel Klatt Show,’ the 42-year-old Fox Sports analyst was in disbelief over Sanders’ omission.

"Shedeur Sanders has a stronger argument than anybody to at least be a Heisman finalist. He was responsible for 82% of Colorado's offense this year—best in college football and third-highest in the last 25 years," Klatt said. [19:33]

Sanders led the nation in completion percentage at a remarkable 74%. He had 35 passing touchdowns, which ranked second, just one behind finalist Cam Ward. With 3,926 passing yards, 35 touchdowns, and only eight interceptions, Coach Prime’s son had better stats than finalist Dillon Gabriel.

However, Gabriel led the Oregon Ducks to a 13-0 season compared to Colorado’s 9-3 record.
