Colorado coach Deion Sanders' son Shilo Sanders has gone viral over his recent comments on Instagram where he criticized efforts of the authorities to put out the California wildfires.

The wildfires have been fueled by the Santa Ana winds and have caused the destruction of over 1,000 structures with over 70,000 people forced to flee their homes.

In a clip posted on Instagram on Thursday, Shilo suggested that the fires had been started by an arsonist rather than the Santa Ana winds explanation. On Friday, the Buffs safety reinforced his opinion by posting articles on Instagram stories that reported that arsonists had been apprehended in connection with the Palisades wildfires.

In the clip posted on Instagram on Thursday, Shilo Sanders broke down the reasons why he did not believe that the fires started naturally.

"I just don't understand wildfires," Shilo Sanders said. "How can you not put out a fire? With all the firefighters we have, all the water that's in California, how can you not just put out a fire? Where does it start from? I'm from Texas, so we don't understand how does something just catch on fire out of nowhere.
"There's someone that's running around in L.A., California, that's just lighting things on fire that we don't know who it is. They're gonna find out who it is, there's no way it just spawns out of nowhere. It's not even that hot in California."

Shilo Sanders reveals friend was affected by wildfires

On Thursday, the NFL-bound Shilo Sanders revealed on his Instagram stories that he has a friend who had been affected by the California wildfires and sought to spread awareness over the disaster.

"Prayers for those affected by the fires," Shilo Sanders wrote. "One of my closest friends just lost everything, and the fires seem to continue to increase, which led me to my line of questioning. I'm always gon ask questions because the safety of my friends and their families are at risk.
“I think we all should continue to ask questions to find ways of prevention and ways to help. It’s time to spread awareness on these issues to prevent them but to also make sure everyone is good.”

An AP report from Friday revealed that two people had died as a direct result of the California wildfires that have continued to rage through the Palisades area.
