Since the game's release in July, EA Sports' College Football 25 has seen major updates and patches multiple times. Each patch update brought big improvements and changes to its gameplay, much to the satisfaction of the game's devoted players.
Tuesday morning's patch update brings numerous small improvements and cosmetic tweaks from the developers. However, the important updates made were in immediately noticeable areas of gameplay.
EA CFB patch update: August 20 edition
The position change lists include freshmen again, and the much-discussed scheme playbook glitch has finally been fixed after a few weeks of fans needing to manually "Edit Coach" in gameplay options. Especially in online modes, these two fixes are noteworthy to dedicated players. Small issues such as scoreboards disappearing for a few seconds, game freezing during onside kicks, etc. are also included in the patch.
Fans are expecting this update to be a precursor to much bigger changes in the game in the next 'Title Update.' However, it's worth mentioning that the last 'Title Update' was not as significant as some fans expected it to be.
"I’d assume any big changes like that would come during the Title Update on 8/29. This was just a small patch to fix what the last title update broke quicker than waiting another 10 days," the game's creator, Bordeaux, wrote on X.
Updates to player attributes or any badges are yet to be seen, and fans continue to mention the lack of variety in uniforms. Any new updates are also likely to include likeness updates to some players, as well as fixes to Dynasty Mode and some UI bugs.
Any new update gives dedicated fans something to discuss which makes the game more interesting. Tuesday's updates will surely result in better gameplay and experience.
