College Football 25 has been one of the more exciting video game titles in the sports genre in recent memory. This update that is happening on Thursday, August 8, is a big one that is going to cause a lot of changes to the game, both in online and offline modes.
Let's take a closer look at the patch notes and discuss what is being altered in College Football 25's update.
How does the update change online modes in College Football 25?
Road to the CFP
This mode is the one that has been least affected by the College Football 25 update that is taking place. The big change is that the tiers of teams are going to be a bit more balanced as the game will update from three tiers of teams to five.
This means if you are playing with one of the lesser-overall teams, you should not be matching up with the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs as often.
Team Builder
This is more for the presentation but there have been some updates on the following uniforms in one way or another:
- Baylor Bears
- Oregon Ducks
- Iowa State Cyclones
- Ole Miss Rebels
- Vanderbilt Commodores
- Bowling Green Falcons
- Northwestern Wildcats
- UTEP Miners
- Boise State Broncos
- New Mexico State Aggies
- Appalachian State Mountaineers
- Texas State Bobcats
- Louisiana Ragin Cajuns
- New Mexico Lobos
- South Alabama Jaguars
- TCU Horned Frogs
- Arkansas Razorbacks
- Missouri Tigers
There were also updates to a handful of stadiums as well, so that will make the Team Builder aspect a bit more exciting and realistic for players of College Football 25.
College Football 25 Ultimate Team
There were a lot of issues with Ultimate Team but this update seemingly is going to fix a bunch of issues. One quality of life situation is when viewing 'Challenge Details', the yardage you have and need will be visible to show you the progress you made. They also fixed issues of people being kicked off the game when attempting to load in.
On the Auction House, the filters, when selected by conference, will also be addressed as they did not work correctly. In all game modes, the AI tackling pursuit has been improved and adjustments made to the False Start chances when making pre-snap adjustments.
Overall, this College Football 25 update and server maintenance was a massive one for all game modes. It will be interesting as the gameplay can feel a little different, but should improve overall.
