The EA Sports College Football 25 game has been well-received among fans after being released on July 19. With the last version of the game being released in 2013, the new version has captivated both an older generation and a younger one who never got to experience the earlier version.
The franchise announced its return in 2021 and it has taken three years to develop the current version. The game developers tempered expectations before it was released, revealing that there will be several updates to iron out any issues in the game.
On Tuesday, on the EA Sports blog, the community manager posted an update on the latest server tweaks and a few changes made by them to improve gameplay.
"This morning, we distributed a smaller title update which is designed to address some issues that have been affecting your gameplay experience. A larger title update will be coming in the near future which will receive a full Campus Huddle detailing all of the updates coming to each portion of the game," the community manager wrote.
"Fixed Away team not being able to change offensive audibles in Online H2H, Reduced frequency of Roughing the Kicker from AI players on Field Goals, Fixed rare issue of the snap going behind the QB, Stability and Server Improvements."
College Football 25 graphics are mindblowing
The EA Sports College Football 25 game was in production for over three years, with the developers stating that they wanted to make it as modern as possible.
Even as the team rushes to deal with certain inconsistencies in gameplay and server crashes by bringing in bug updates, the graphics are being widely hailed as exemplary.
After the gameplay trailers were released, analyst Bud Elliott pointed out the care and thought that had been put into developing the graphics and various aspects of the game.
"I think the biggest thing that I took away from this is that this is not Madden reskinned," Elliott said on CBS Sports College Football. "They didn't pull a couple of guys off other video game teams from other sports. The dudes making this game are like absolute college football sicko nerds.
"The stuff that they thought to put in here, it's just straight dubs. The schools were really in on this. Regardless of which team you're playing with, I think they did a great job of nailing your traditions."
So far, fans have backed up the assertion that the latest College Football 25 game's graphics have blown them away and are way above anything else on the market.
