Week 7 of the college football season is in the books, and with it came another week of TV ratings. This week featured one of the highest-viewed games of the season, Oregon's narrow 32-31 victory over Ohio State.

However, that was not the only game of the week to get high TV ratings.

College football TV ratings week 7

Although Oregon vs. Ohio State received the highest TV ratings this week, there were a few other games with outstanding figures. According to Sports Media Watch, these were the three most-watched games during Week 7 of the college football season.

#1 Ohio State vs Oregon

Unsurprisingly, the Ohio State vs. Oregon game was the highest-viewed game of the week with 9.6 million viewers. It was a game between the No. 4 Ohio State and No. 2 Oregon. The game was back and forth but looked like it would end with a victory for Ohio State.

However, Oregon scored 10 points in the fourth quarter compared to Ohio State's three, edging the Buckeyes by one point. The win propelled Oregon to second place in the AP Top 25 Poll, while Ohio State fell to fourth. According to NBC, the game peaked with 13.4 million viewers in its final minutes.

#2 Texas vs Oklahoma

The Red River Rivalry is always one of the most-viewed games of the season, and if not for the competitive Ohio State vs Oregon matchup, it would have led the week. The game had 7.63 million viewers but did not reach as high peaks as the Oregon vs Ohio State game because it was not as competitive.

No. 1 Texas retained its top ranking by defeating the Oklahoma Sooners 34-3. Although Oklahoma has dominated the matchup recently, Texas dominated this game.

#3 South Carolina vs Alabama

After Alabama lost 40-35 to Vanderbilt the previous Saturday, six million fans tuned in to see if the Crimson Tide would lose again. Although South Carolina kept the game competitive and led heading into the fourth quarter. However, Alabama came back to win 27-25.

The highest-viewed game of the previous week had 5.29 million viewers, so all three of these games would have led the week.
