Colorado Buffaloes fans were left biting their nails after two-way star Travis Hunter left the game against the Kansas State Wildcats in Week 7 action with an apparent shoulder injury and did not re-emerge for the second half. Last season, Hunter was out for three weeks with a lacerated liver following the fiery clash against the Colorado State Rams.

During his weekly news conference, charismatic Colorado coach Deion Sanders revealed the status of the two-way star for the Week 8 clash against the Arizona Wildcats.

According to Buffs beat writer Brian Howell, the coach confirmed that Hunter will be available for the game against the Wildcats.

"Travis should play for certain," Sanders said.

Colorado fans on X, formerly known as Twitter, were ecstatic at the news of Hunter's return.

Some fans were focused on loftier goals for the two-way star after his confirmed return.

"travis hunter the heisman this year?" One fan tweeted.
"Heisman loading," another fan tweeted.
"Never count out the current best player in college football," one fan tweeted.

Travis Hunter injury blamed on Deion Sanders

Travis Hunter has appeared indefatigable this season playing on both sides of the ball for the Colorado Buffaloes and before the game against the Kansas State Wildcats, he had played in 92% of the Buffs snaps this season.

During a segment of his "Fearless" podcast, controversial analyst Jason Whitlock blamed Deion Sanders for the injury suffered by Hunter.

"Deion Sanders is the reason Travis Hunter got hurt," Whitlock said. "Because Deion Sanders thinks that he has reinvented football and that he is the greatest coach that’s ever hit college football."
"You know what! I can take a 19-20 and 21-year-old kid with amazing and I can play both ways and play them every snap for an entire season because I am Deion Sanders."

Travis Hunter leads the Big 12 in receptions with 49, resulting in 587 yards and six touchdowns on the offensive side of the ball. He has also tallied 16 tackles, three pass breakups, two interceptions and a forced fumble on the defensive side of the ball.

The Colorado Buffaloes suffered several injuries in the game against the Kansas State Wildcats losing wide receivers Will Sheppard, Jimmy Horn Jr. and Omarion Miller. Deion Sanders revealed that Sheppard and Horn Jr. would also be available to play against the Wildcats, while Miller was ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on his leg on Monday.
