Colorado is gearing up for a big recruiting weekend as they host 5-star quarterback Julian Lewis and several other highly touted prospects. Lewis, initially ranked as the top quarterback in the 2026 class, has been reclassified to the 2025 class. He is currently committed to USC but has been exploring other options, including official visits to Indiana, Auburn, and now the Buffaloes.
The timing of Lewis' visit to Colorado comes shortly after USC experienced the de-commitment of two prominent defensive linemen, Justus Terry and Isaiah Gibson.
Accompanying a 43-second clip, Lewis excitedly tweeted about returning to Boulder, indicating that his interest in Colorado is genuine.
“Headed back 2 BOULDER!!!,” he wrote. “@CUBuffsFootball @DeionSanders @theyoungcoach @ShedeurSanders”
Besides Lewis, Colorado will also host other key recruits, including four-star interior offensive lineman Chauncey Gooden from Nashville, Tennessee, and four-star wide receiver Quanell X Farrakhan Jr. from Houston. This weekend's visit will be particularly significant for Farrakhan, as he is set to announce his commitment on July 13, per reports.
Furthermore, four-star linebacker Mantrez Walker, who committed to Colorado in April, will be making his third visit to Boulder.
This weekend holds immense importance for Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes in their recruiting efforts.
Boulder introduces ‘Juju's Precision Pass Burger’ to attract Julian Lewis
Boulder's historic restaurant, The Sink, recently made headlines with the introduction of the "Juju's Precision Pass Burger," named after top high school quarterback prospect Julian Lewis. This unique burger features double patties, cheese, shredded lettuce, red onion, bacon, and A-1 aioli.
The idea for the burger came about when members of Colorado's recruiting team approached The Sink, seeking a way to draw attention to Lewis's visit. Greg Tell, co-owner of The Sink, expressed his willingness to support the cause, told ESPN:
"Anything to help draw attention to CU with Juju."
The restaurant's rich history in Boulder made it a natural choice for Lewis's signature burger, especially given its reputation for serving "famous ugly-crust pizza."
Despite the excitement surrounding the burger, QB Lewis has yet to announce his final decision.
