Shedeur Sanders joined the Colorado Buffaloes last season after transferring from Jackson State with his father Deion Sanders and brother Shilo. In his Boulder debut, the young QB put up a decent performance, helping the Buffs to a positive start to their 2023 season. Unfortunately, Colorado could not maintain the momentum and eventually finished the season with a 4-8 overall record.

However, in a recent episode of UNDISPUTED, Skip Bayless put his faith in Deion Sanders' team once again as they prepare for their Big 12 conference reunion this upcoming season.

He also heaped praise on Shedeur Sanders' capabilities, which Coach Prime shared on his Instagram story, showcasing his appreciation for the take.

During the show, Skip Bayless stated that Shedeur Sanders is not just the best QB in his conference, but he is also the best in the country. He also went on to state that Coach Prime's son will be the first pick in the 2025 NFL draft and will have an illustrious career as a professional footballer.

"Shedeur is not just the best quarterback in that conference, he is the best quarterback in the country. And he is going to be the first pick in the draft and I think he's gonna be really really good in pro football. And he is as seasoned and experienced a college quarterback as you're going to get"

He continued:

"And all that was missing last year, the biggest piece to the puzzle last year was they just couldn't protect him."

Shedeur Sanders' 2023 stats

During his debut campaign with the Colorado Buffaloes, the young quarterback went on to put up a total of 3,230 passing yards and 27 TD passes on the gridiron. He also set the school record in their season opener against TCU, where he tallied 510 passing yards and four touchdowns.

Unfortunately, Colorado had problems in their offensive line and struggled to protect Shedeur on the field which led to him being the most sacked QB of the 2023 season with 52 sacks to his name.

However, Deion Sanders has revamped the O-line this offseason to better protect his quarterback. And with several talented individuals in the offensive line, Shedeur Sanders has the chance to make Colorado a potential contender for the national championship in the new 12-team playoff format.
