Shedeur Sanders has been spending quite some time playing EA College Football 25 with his friends while preparing for Colorado's Big 12 reunion campaign. During episode 1 of his "2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders" podcast, he named his top 3 teams in the game.
"The top three is Oregon, Ohio State and Georgia (from rank 3 to 1) on the game. I think, it would be, gotta put Georgia 1, Colorado 2, then Miami 3," Shedeur Sanders said. (6:12)
Shedeur Sanders then justified his ranking of Colorado as the No.2 team in College Football 25 by stating that he 'hopes' to be a part of the new 12-team playoff this upcoming season.
"Cause, nah I'm just saying I want to, I have hopes to play in the playoffs," Shedeur said. (6:42)
While the Colorado Buffaloes may not be one of the top 10 teams in EA College Football 25, Coach Prime's quarterback son is ranked as the top quarterback in the game with a 93 overall rating alongside Georgia QB Carson Beck.
During the Big 12 Media Days, Deion Sanders expressed his dissatisfaction with Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders' rating in College Football 25.
"I'm just trying to figure out how Shedeur can be tied with another person. How did that happen? And how can Travis not have the highest score in the game when he's arguably the best receiver and the best defensive back in college football? So, how can you not be the number one rated guy, period? I don't understand that either," Deion Sanders said.
Travis Hunter boasts an overall rating of 95 in College Football 25, ranking him the sixth-best player in the game. The top players with a 96 overall rating are Will Johnson, Will Campbell and Ollie Gordon II who are ranked No.1, 2 and 3 respectively.
Shedeur Sanders names his Heisman-winning role model
Shedeur and Miami QB Cam Ward were also asked about which NFL player and former collegiate star influences their playstyle. The Colorado quarterback answered by stating that 2016 Heisman winner and Baltimore QB Lamar Jackson is the player that he looks up to and is influenced by while playing on the field for his team.
"I see him (Lamar Jackson) scrambling sidelines. I'm in the stands North Texas gang, the North Texas game out there. Everything he can, a lot of will, so they say you model your game after your coach and he had a lot of will." Shedeur said (TS-23:37)
For Shedeur, the upcoming season will be his final collegiate campaign before declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft.
