Colorado Buffaloes two-way star Travis Hunter could be one of the players who can go in the first round as a top-ten pick in the 2025 NFL draft. To become a highly-touted prospect, the versatile WR/CB is often seen working out to improve his physical attributes.
He seemingly showed his dedication to protecting his mental health and physicality by liking an Instagram post where Dejounte Murray talked about his interests outside of basketball.
The post included comments from the New Orleans Pelican star's aversion to partying, drinking, and going to clubs.
"[Teammates] see I don't party, I don't drink, I don't smoke...and they're like "Bro why?'...I know what I want."
Travis Hunter liked the post from the Pelicans star.
A CFB insider took a shot at Travis Hunter for "shaming his teammates"
The two-way star played the much-anticipated EA Sports College Football 25 with his teammate Shedeur Sanders on a livestream. While doing so, he took a hilarious jab at the Deion Sanders-led Colorado Buffaloes. Hunter was stuck in a difficult gameplay which made him say that the offensive line of the virtual Colorado team "can't block for nothing."
This viral moment gained a lot of traction from fans and analysts alike. Some found it to be a lighthearted shot made out of frustration but some thought that the remark was distasteful.
On "The Right Time with Bomani Jones," the host said:
"What is Deion telling these boys is my question. I never remembered Deion Sanders talking bad about his teammates, and Deion Sanders played on some bad teams. I don't remember him ever publicly shaming the squad... You can't have these boys acting like this."
Travis Hunters' remark may have some truth because the Buffaloes' offensive line experienced a lot of struggles in the previous season. The team's 4-8 record led the head coach of the team to rebuild the offensive line to protect the QB.
Going into the upcoming college football season, the team will try to defy the image it has built.
