Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes are sweating it out in the offseason as they continue their preparations for their Big 12 reunion. But amid all the intense training, Coach Prime and Travis Hunter had a fun competition in a hobby they enjoy.

The Colorado two-way star and Deion Sanders went out on a fishing trip together. During the trip, Hunter and Coach Prime had a competition about who could catch the most fish at the lake.

The Colorado coach's love for fishing is well-known. So naturally, Coach Prime was expected to emerge the victor in the challenge. However, Hunter showcased his praiseworthy fishing skills. Surprisingly, Hunter won the contest with a blowout score line, catching 10 fish compared to three caught by Sanders.

Coach Prime also went on an angling expedition with his friends and professional fishing friends Kevin Rogers and Matt Looney. He shared a video on Instagram where he was engaging in a conversation about why they love fishing.

Sanders was gifted a brand new customized fishing boat by his friends in collaboration with Bass Cat Boats. It was an all-black sleek boat with custom seats on a Buff-themed color palette with the word Prime written across it. Coach Prime expressed his gratitude for the gift, posting on Instagram.

"THANK YOU THANK YOU @mattlooneyfishing @kevinrogersfishing @basscatboatas for hooking me all the way up! This boat is unbelievable. WOW. Oh MY GOD!!!! #CoachPrime we have some GREAT FISHING CONTENT FROM TODAYS BLESSING! I can't wait for u to see how we hit them on the new @basscatboats", Sanders wrote.

Deion Sanders finds 'peace' while fishing in the offseason

As Deion Sanders and the Buffs continue to put in the work in the offseason, he finds his own little moments of peace when he goes out fishing. In May, Coach Prime went out on a fishing expedition where he caught some great game and posted pictures on social media.

In the video, he said that he was smiling because he was at 'peace' before showing off the big fish that he caught with his bait.

"You know why I'm smiling? Because I'm happy. You know why I'm smiling? Because I am at peace. You know why I'm smiling? Because I'm fully of joy. And I can't believe this hit a spinner bait. Are you kidding me?" Coach Prime said.

After last season's 4-8 debut in Boulder, Deion Sanders has used the offseason to revamp his roster and address problem areas. With a wider range of talents in his arsenal, it will be interesting to see if the Buffs contend for a playoff spot in the new 12-team playoff format.
