Travis Hunter was at the center of the crowd's attention at the Memorial Stadium as the Colorado Buffaloes got on the road to take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Week 2. Coach Prime's and Matt Rhule's teams got off to a flyer during their season opener against ND State Bison and UTEP Miners, respectively.

The Colorado wide receiver was greeting the fans at the stadium when the Nebraska fans started chanting - "F*ck CU" to intimidate Travis before the game. The plan was clear for them - compromise one of Deion Sanders' best players on the field and give an edge to Nebraska.

However, Hunter remained unfazed. He chose to respond in his own swaggy style, dancing to those chants. Have a look:

Hunter was on a roll against North Dakota in Week 1 as the Buffs closed out a thrilling 31-26 game at Folsom Field. The 22-year-old recorded 132 receiving yards while adding three rushing touchdowns to his name.

Deion Sanders can't take critics underrating Travis Hunter

Coach Prime isn't having any of the criticism surrounding his two-way superstar, Travis Hunter. The Buffs HC has been vocal about Hunter’s unique abilities ever since he brought him from the Jackson State Tigers.

Earning the prestigious Paul Hornung Award last season for his versatility, Hunter has Sanders standing beside him, supporting the Colorado WR every step of the journey. The NFL Hall of Famer was on the “Colorado Football Coaches Show” when he said:

“No one has seen a guy go both ways like he (Travis Hunter) goes. Yes he can! That's what he does. That's all he knows. So how you gonna tell a man what he can't do? The scouts ask me everyday, 'what is he?'"
"I say, 'he's a football player.' If you put him on offense in the NFL and don't have him on defense, you are gonna look like a fool. Because he's gonna be the best defensive player not playing. And the same thing vice versa.”

Sanders raved about Hunter's ability to dominate on both sides of the ball, adding that anyone who limits him in the NFL doesn’t know the game. In 2023, Colorado suffered a 4-8 record, but Hunter impressed with his elite talent on offense and defense.
