During his two seasons with the Colorado Buffaloes, coach Deion Sanders has gained a fair share of supporters and detractors, most of whom come from programs his Buffaloes have played against.
Sanders met one of these during last week's Heisman Trophy ceremony where his cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter took home the honors. There, Sanders bumped into Oregon Ducks coach Dan Lanning, who was there for Dillon Gabriel.
Sanders described the meeting as:
"He couldn't even look me in the eyes with the cameras turned away like a man."
The tension between the two stems from an incident that happened the last time Oregon played Colorado. This was a 42-6 win for the Ducks, ending what had been a perfect start to the season for Sanders' Buffaloes.
However, it was Lanning's statements leading up to the game that sparked the tension. Colorado was highly covered in the media at the time. This led Lanning to say this to his Oregon locker room:
"They’re playing for clicks, we’re playing for wins.”
It seems there's bad blood between the two.
Deion Sanders on which team Shedeur Sanders will be drafted by
Deion Sanders shared his prediction on where his son, Shedeur Sanders, is going to be drafted at, and by which team during the 2025 NFL draft.
Speaking on "The Pacman Jones Show," Deion said this:
"(The New York) Giants are not gonna give up their pick. They're not gonna give up their pick. Shedeur's gonna be the number one pick."
According to Deion, Shedeur will be the number one pick and the New York Giants will draft him. There is a possibility that both of these things could happen. The Giants are likely to select a quarterback in the draft and could have the number one pick.
But, things are not certain. They are currently tied on two wins with the Las Vegas Raiders, who are also needing a quarterback.
Shedeur has been linked with both of these teams and expect him to be involved in rumors linking him to both of them up until the NFL draft in April.
