The Buffaloes quarterback was awarded the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, recognizing the top upperclassman quarterback in the nation, during a ceremony in Baltimore. Deion Sanders graciously acknowledged the honor, expressing pride in his son and the quarterback of his team with a message:

"I'm proud of you son....Let's finish strong."

While he established himself as one of the top names in the college football arena, fans aren’t completely convinced he deserved the award.
