Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers secured their fourth victory of the season with a 29-13 against the Florida State Seminoles. The Tigers headed into Week 6 with a 40-14 victory against Stanford. And this confidence translated into them putting up a spectacular show on the gridiron.

Apart from the victory, Dabo Swinney also achieved a personal milestone. This was the Clemson head coach's 174th ACC win. This also meant that he surpassed legendary ex-Florida State head coach Bobby Bowden to set the all-time record for the most number of ACC wins.

Swinney took over as the head coach of the Clemson Tigers back in 2008. Over the course of his time with the program, he has led them to two national championships and eight ACC championships. The last time the Tigers won the national championship with Swinney was back in the 2018 season when he helped them become the undefeated champions.

Last season, Dabo Swinney led Clemson to a 9-4 overall campaign. While they failed to compete for the ACC title, they won the Gator Bowl, defeating the Kentucky Wildcats. He has notched up a 174-44 overall record over his sixteen seasons with the program.

In the post-game press conference, he talked about them securing a four-game winning streak and the importance of consistency. Swinney said:

"You've got to create some consistency. You've got to keep going. We've won four games. That's it. You ain't gonna be a great team with four wins. You've got to keep going. If they've got the courage to continue, then we'll have a chance."

Dabo Swinney shows respect to Bobby Bowden after surpassing his record

Dabo Swinney praised Bobby Bowden after surpassing Bowden's all-time ACC wins record.

In the post-game press conference, the Clemson head coach opened up about how he wants to have the same impact on his players as Bowden did during his Florida State career.

"Never in my imagination would I think 16 years later we'd be sitting here having this conversation," Swinney said. "I'm just thankful but honestly my name may be on the list, but ain't nobody better than Bobby Bowden. That's just a fact. He's amazing"

Clemson is next scheduled to take on Wake Forest in week 7.
