Colorado coach Deion Sanders has been unwinding after ending a largely successful season with a 9-4 record. In their last game, the Buffaloes lost 36-14 to the BYU Cougars in the Alamo Bowl.

Last week, the Buffs coach revealed on Instagram that he was indulging in his favorite pastime, fishing at his ranch in Texas.

On Wednesday, a clip was posted on the Tubi account on X, showcasing a hilarious conversation between Coach Prime and his guests, retired WWE wrestlers Nikki and Brie Garcia.

Brie revealed that her childhood crush had been the Buffs coach during his playing days.

"Well, it was actually middle school," Garcia said. "And it was you, Deion. You were my first celebrity crush.
"You should have told me that," Coach Prime replied. "How did that come about? Is this for play or is this for real?"
"No, no, this is for real," said Garcia.

College football fans on X had mixed reactions to the interaction between the Colorado coach and the retired wrestler.

Some fans had hilarious takes due to Coach Prime's enthusiasm after the revelation by Garcia.

"Deion ready to go now lmao," one fan tweeted.
"Prime got time for her," another fan tweeted.
"The OG definitely got time today," one fan tweeted.

Deion Sanders harbored talk show dream for years

Deion Sanders has had a largely successful career, both as a player and as a coach. The charismatic Colorado coach has courted and held the spotlight in both of those roles as 'Prime Time' and 'Coach Prime.'

After the release of the first episode of the "We Got Time Today" show, Coach Prime revealed that his difficult divorce from his ex-wife Pilar Sanders forced him to put dreams of a talk show on the back burner.

"I’ve always endeavored, even before I got into television, the television, sports television, I was interviewed several times," Sanders said in an interview with Essence. "And I was almost about to commit to doing a daily talk show that was going to be shot out in New York.
"But I prided myself on being a real father, a father that won custody of his kids through divorce, and I just wanted to be there for my kids. So, I kind of put it on the back burner because my kids are more important than anything in this world."

Coach Prime further revealed the reasons why he was so enamored with the idea of hosting a talk show.

"But I always wanted to have the ability to go into people’s homes, their living rooms, and to be able to inspire them, encourage, and motivate them, and just try to enhance their life in some form or fashion by conversation," Sanders said.
"And having a co-host who’s the conversationalist of them all, it’s wonderful because she triggers me and she entices me to be more of who I am."

Deion Sanders' appearance on the screens will not end with the "We Got Time Today" show with season three of his popular 'Coach Prime' series premiering on Tuesday.
