Before his stint with Colorado, Deion Sanders had a successful tenure at Jackson State. The Pro Football Hall of Famer went undefeated in his last two seasons with the Tigers, claiming the Southwestern Athletic Conference title in both, a kind of success he wants to replicate in Boulder.

Coach Prime's first son, Deion Sanders Jr., posted a three-year-old locker video of the coach's speech ahead of a game on Wednesday. In the video, Prime Time delivered a pregame speech titled "I'm tired" which talks about legacy, demanding more from his players before they embark on the field.

“I'm tired of people from the outside believing what's on the inside,” Sanders said. “I'm tired of us being dysfunctional as a culture, as a people. I'm tired of us jumping outside and doing the petty stuff, doing the petty little stuff is going to keep us from our destiny. I'm tired of you having the ability and not displaying it on every single snap.”

Deion Sanders on what he demands from his players every week

Deion Sanders leads his team to another challenging contest on Saturday as they play Arizona on the road. Looking to bounce back from the defeat to Kansas State against the Wildcats, Sanders was asked what he demands from his player in his media availability on Tuesday.

"Accountability. Everybody must take accountability in their efforts, their preparation, their habits, the things that we didn't do well in the game; to really hold yourself accountable.” Sanders said.
“To put in the work in today, in the weight room, film room, training room to get healthy, and ultimately on the field so we can remove the areas of concern. The guys took it upon themselves and they certainly came out with a different attitude.”

Colorado has seen some significant improvement in its performance this season when compared to the last. However, there are still some lingering issues, including the offensive line and team's ability to run the ball.

Deion Sanders talks about his faith

Following Colorado's outing in the 2023 college football season, Deion Sanders needed a lot of faith to navigate this season. He answered a question about his faith at his weekly press conference on Tuesday.

"Faith is everything to me because I don't flinch. I trust God, not man. When we win, you guys write good things. When we lose, you tell the truth and you write bad things. So it is the same thing with our young men, same thing with our kids. You build them up to tear them down.”

Colorado boasts a 4-2 record as they head to Tucson this weekend. The Wildcats secured a narrow victory over the Buffaloes in the Pac-12 last season but Sanders and his team will hope to get the better of them this time.
