Deion Sanders has become the latest celebrity to offer support to Jamie Foxx following his latest revelation about his health crisis. The star actor was reportedly hospitalized in April 2023 with little information made public, creating significant concern among fans worldwide.

In his Netflix special, "Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was," he finally opened up about the health challenges that led to his hospitalization and an extended recovery period. Foxx revealed that the cause of his sudden disappearance from the public eye was a brain bleed, shedding light on the seriousness of his condition.

After seeing the Netflix special, Deion Sanders poured out some love on his longtime friend on social media. The Colorado coach expressed his excitement at the show, which has gone viral since its release while commending Jamie Foxx on the challenging life journey.

“The @iamjamiefoxx special is EVERYTHING I thought it would be and more. It’s a Comedic Testimony with God at its core. I’m so darn Proud of u my brother. You Did that and I’m thankful that God allowed u to tell & show us how his Grace & Mercy sustained you. Wow Wow!" Sanders tweeted.

A comeback year for Deion Sanders and Jamie Foxx

Both Deion Sanders and Jamie Foxx have experienced crucial comebacks in their careers this year. The two experienced huge setbacks in 2023, but 2024 has seen their tides change significantly.

While Foxx was out of the public eye in 2023 with his health challenges, Sanders faced significant challenges in his new college football coaching job in Boulder. The coach left Jackson State to take the Colorado job. However, he didn't experience success in his first season, ending with a 4-8 record.

However, Deion Sanders got back on track this season, leading the Buffaloes to a 9-3 record, narrowly missing out on the Big 12 championship. This marked the program's best season since going 10-4 in 2016. CU hadn't won more than five games in a season since.

Foxx, on the other hand, is getting back on the entertainment stage following his long absence. He explained why little was known about his condition on his Netflix special.

“I know a lot of people were waiting or wanting to hear updates but to be honest with you, I just didn’t want you to see me like that, man,” Foxx said on the show.
“I want you to see me laughing, having a good time, partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie or television show. I didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was gonna make it through.”

Deion Sanders is set to play his first bowl game in the Football Bowl Subdivision this month against BYU in the Alamo Bowl. Jamie Foxx, on the flip side, will release his action movie “Back in Action” on Jan. 17.
