Deion Sanders has been able to turn around the Colorado Buffaloes program. One of the main players that has been instrumental in the improvement is quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

Sanders led the Buffaloes on Saturday during their defeat to the Kansas State Wildcats. However, despite losing the game, Sanders broke a few school records with his performance.

In the loss to the Wildcats, Sanders threw for 388 yards (going 34 of 40) and three touchdowns. In doing so, he broke three school records. His 16 straight completions are the most in school history, and Sanders is now the owner of the highest completion percentage after both 30 and 40 passing attempts.

One person who reacted to these achievements was the ex-wife of Deion Sanders, Pilar Sanders. She wrote in the comment section of the above post:

"#1 QB in the country! #2 is Pick #1."

Pilar has on numerous occasions used her platform to show her support for Shedeur.

As for the quarterback's latest achievement, it will only add to the season that he has had so far. If he continues this run, he is guaranteeing himself some high draft stock ahead of the 2025 NFL draft.

Shedeur Sanders taunted by Kansas State quarterback Avery Johnson

While Shedeur Sanders had a strong (and record-breaking) performance in the loss against Kansas State, he was taunted by Wildcats quarterback Avery Johnson.

Johnson scored the game-winning touchdown to deliver the Buffaloes their second defeat of the season. But this was not all, as he took a selfie mid-game while doing a dance, which was seen as an imitation of Shedeur's father, Deion Sanders.

On this moment, Johnson told reporters after the game:

"I just was. It was 'The Deion.' What he do."

Overall, Johnson threw for 224 yards and two touchdowns and was able to hold on for a win in an environment that he described as "hostile."

"It's fun to play in hostile environments (and) just to silence the crowd in big-time games," Johnson told reporters.

Deion Sanders and his side will look to bounce back in their next game against Arizona on Saturday.
