Deion Sanders gets surprised by special guest during press conference who is set to become Colorado's face in raising childhood cancer awareness

Colorado coach Deion Sanders had a special guest during his weekly press conference. In June, he met a young girl named Piper after Aflac partnered up for an event with a children's hospital in Colorado. Piper and her family attended Coach Prime's press meet on Wednesday. The young girl wore a Colorado jersey and sported Sanders' signature look with sunglasses.

At the press conference, Sanders said that Piper would be a special guest during Colorado's showdown against Baylor amid Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. On X, the Colorado coach wrote:

"WE AINT HARD 2 FIND! I visited this special girl back in June, and today she surprised me at the press conference. She is SMART, TOUGH, FAST and DISCIPLINED, with CHARACTER. And that's exactly why she is going to serve as our Aflac Supplemental Coach of the Game this Saturday, just in time for Childhood Cancer Awareness Momth!"

The Colorado vs. Baylor showdown is scheduled to be played on Saturday, Sept. 21, at Folsom Field. It is expected to kick off at around 8 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on television on the FOX channel. The live stream for the matchup will be available on FuboTV, Sling TV and others.

After their victory against the Rams, Sanders and the Buffs will be looking forward to continuing their winning momentum and improving on their last season's 4-8 record.

Deion Sanders reveals showdown against Colorado State was 'personal'

In the post-game press conference, Coach Prime spoke about his team's win in the Rocky Mountain Showdown. He also discussed how a few of the Rams players disrespected his program ahead of the game and how it affected the way he perceived the matchup.

Sanders said:

"Wonderful game. Personal game. Heartfelt game. Emotional game. They kinda make it like that. We just wanna play some football. The disrespect was uncalled for during the week. A couple of players took shots at the whole program and a few of our players. So it is what it is.

"So we knew that coming into the game, it would be a bit personal, and it was..... I just pray that our kids would never act in that matter, cause y'all would have a field day if they did."

Deion Sanders and his team have a lot to prove this season. After revamping the roster and the coaching staff in the offseason, fans will expect great results from them. Can they qualify for the bowl games this year?
