Deion Sanders appeared on “Good Morning America” on Wednesday to discuss the upcoming season of his documentary series, “Coach Prime.” Amazon Prime is set to release the third season of the Sanders-themed series following the success of the first two releases.

However, the Colorado Buffaloes coach's entry into the GMA building at 1500 Broadway in Times Square, New York City, caught a lot of fans' attention online. Donning a blue suit with a coat, Sanders walked into the Times Square Studio majestically, oozing a lot of confidence.

With his antics before taking on the stage for his session on the morning television program, Deion Sanders once again showed he is the master of stealing the spotlight. The coach has over the years been able to draw a huge amount of attention to each of his endeavors.

Deion Sanders elated to have influenced a new coaching path

Deion Sanders shocked the football world in 2020 when he took the head coaching job at Jackson State. He went on to record significant success with the Tigers before transitioning to Colorado in 2023. This has created a pathway to coaching for other former NFL players.

In his appearance on "GMA," Deion Sanders was asked by host Michael Strahan about his influence on NFL stars like Michael Vick and DeSean Jackson. The two recently assumed head coaching roles at HBCU programs Norfolk State and Delaware State, respectively.

Sanders expressed pride in inspiring former NFL players to contribute to the growth of HBCU football, emphasizing the importance of their leadership in creating opportunities for student-athletes and advancing the legacy of HBCU programs.

“I feel like I’m blessed to be a blessing,” Sanders said. “And those guys you just forementioned, I reached out to them, and I want them to succeed immensely. All the wrongs, all the rights, everything that I could give them and all of the guidance — I’m there for them. They’re like my little brothers, and I love it."

Sanders also expressed his excitement that former Black players, who have over the years made significant strides in the sport, are now getting the chance to become coaches.

“I love that they’re getting opportunities,” Sanders said. “Because we never got these opportunities. We comprised 75-80%fof the team — but then we can’t coach? That doesn’t make any sense to me. So, I’m thankful that we’re getting opportunities.”

Following a successful season with Colorado in 2024, Deion Sanders will hope it's the start of something big for him in Boulder. The Buffaloes finished with a 9-4 record, narrowly missing out on the Big 12 championship game.
