Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders led his team to a 28-9 win over the Colorado State Rams in the Rocky Mountain Showdown on Saturday. The Buffs showed some positive signs after a narrow victory against the North Dakota State Bison and a loss against the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

In Week 4, the Buffs face the Baylor Bears, and in an interview with CBS Sports, Sanders hilariously turned down the chance to meet Baylor's mascots.

"I don't see anybody there right now and I'm not gonna be the first. No, I don't do the zoo stuff, I don't go the zoo, I don't wanna go on safari, I don't do that kind of stuff. There's nothing appealing about what I'm looking at right now," Sanders said.

Deion Sanders criticized for comments about media

Deion Sanders has not had the healthiest relationship with the media this season, rolling from one controversy to the next. He went on a tangent against the media in his latest weekly news conference.

“Once upon a time, you guys never attacked college players. Now they’re making more money than y’all, and some of y’all are envious and jealous about that,” Sanders said.
"So you’re on the attack. It was hands off a college player, because he was an amateur, remember that? Remember that, guys? Now it’s hands-on, go at ’em, any kind of way you want. They’re making more money than me and I’m mad about it."

The Colorado Buffaloes offensive line and players like Shedeur Sanders have received criticism for the performances, especially in the loss to the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

In an episode of ESPN's "First Take," Paul Finebaum criticized the Buffs coach for his take on the media being jealous of student-athletes.

"Deion, right there, was purely gaslighting. Really unbecoming of his stature and status. He knows that's not true," Finebaum said. "The people that cover college football have been arguing vociferously for years to get more autonomy for players.
"So they can make more money, so they can't be treated the same way they've always have. For him to say that is just really specious. It's baseless, and quite frankly it looks to me like he's living in an alternative universe. Because that is simply not true."

It was not the first time Finebaum and Sanders clashed over differing opinions, and it will likely not be the last.
