With the college football season winding down with bowl season in full swing, the hype for the 2025 NFL draft is continuing to happen. One of the more talked about prospects is Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders. He has proven to be one of the top quarterback prospects and is expected to enter the draft in lieu of his NCAA eligibility, and teams are going to be interested in him.
On the "2Legendary Podcast with Shedeur Sanders," he had his two brothers, Deion Jr. and Darius, joined him and Deion gave a swift response for the Las Vegas Raiders' "Tank for Shedeur" movement that is going on.
"It's pretty cool," Deion said. "That's how it's supposed to be. You know, you got to be in a specific position to get the best, so it makes sense. They just want the best, it is what it is."
Shedeur Sanders has been playing at a great level this season as he has gone 337 of 454 (74.2%) for 3,926 yards and 35 touchdowns to eight interceptions while adding four rushing touchdowns. It will be interesting to see which teams, including the Las Vegas Raiders (3-12), want him to fall to their pick.
Will Shedeur Sanders play in Colorado's bowl game?
Even though the Colorado Buffaloes missed out on the College Football Playoff, CU (9-3) still made the Valero Alamo Bowl against the 17th-ranked BYU Cougars (10-2) on Saturday. While many players who are locked in towards the top of the upcoming NFL draft board tend to opt out of bowl games, it appears Shedeur Sanders will be playing.
Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders made it known that there are safety nets in place, but the expectation is that they are going to be playing in the game. As the team arrived in San Antonio, Texas, for the game, Coach Prime said:
"We have a multitude of players that are draftable, that they received a draft grade. They've disability (insurance) all season long, we want to make sure that if something were to happen, they would cover it. ... We happen to have two players that are probably going to be the first two picks in the NFL draft.
"I think we all know who those two are, and they have received, I think, the highest number of coverage that has ever been covered in college football."
With the insurance policy on him and one last time to play college football, expect to see Shedeur Sanders get one more game as a member of the Colorado Buffaloes.
