Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders' eldest son, Deion Sanders Jr. aka Bucky, has been part of the charismatic coach's setup in both Jackson State and Boulder. The coach has credited his son as the force behind the Buffs' social media growth over the years.
On Friday, ahead of No. 16 Colorado's clash against the Kansas Jayhawks in Week 13, Bucky applauded Kansas cornerback Cobee Bryant for his eagerness to play against Colorado.
In the comment section of the post, a user alerted Deion Sanders Jr. to a post about him and the hype surrounding the Colorado team which was addressed by Kansas fans on the "Could Be Wrong" podcast recorded on Thursday.
Host Nick Schwerdt severely criticized the media hype around the Buffs and accused Bucky of orchestrating it all (0:00-0:50).
"This is manufactured by Deion Sanders and his s*it stain son who runs all their media and films every single second of every single day for Prime since he got to Boulder," Schwerdt said. "This isn't just manufactured, 'cause who would make it? They are making it because they want it to seem like it's everybody against them.
"They want to make it seem like everybody is constantly thinking and talking about Colorado and it's just not happening. And it's not like I'm mad or I care about it. It just reinforces the fact that I want to f**k their season so badly on Saturday. I want this win more than I've wanted any win this season, including Kansas State. I wouldn't have said that at the beginning of this episode."
Bucky had a nonchalant response to the clip.
"Oh ok.. I see," he tweeted.
Deion Sanders Jr. takes shots at analysts
Deion Sanders Jr. often defends the Colorado Buffaloes and his family. During last week's episode of "Zero Two Sixty" (Nov. 20), Sanders Jr. took shots at the analysts criticizing his father's coaching acumen (24:00).
“Experts ain’t really experts," Deion Sanders Jr. said. "They just talk. They don’t t really know football like that either. They just speak. They hear that in their earpiece and have personal feelings also included in that. They just talk crazy.
“It’s definitely a blessing. It’s no surprise to us. We always thought this could happen. It’s not a shocker to us. We knew what we're capable of but we just weren’t getting the job done.”
A week ago, Sanders Jr. said in an Instagram livestream that he was unsure of his future when his brothers, Shilo and Shedeur Sanders, leave for the NFL via the draft. However, this week, his father reaffirmed his commitment to the Buffs which might signal his eldest son's extended stay in Boulder as well.
