Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter has been flamboyant with his performance on the gridiron. The 2023 Paul Hornung winner's phenomenal athleticism has helped the Buffs excel on both offense and defense in the past few games. Hunter's contribution not only contributed to Colorado's bowl game eligibility but also to their hopes of competing for the Big 12 title and the playoffs.

In week 12 against Utah, Travis Hunter once again played a key role on the field. He recorded a total of 55 receiving yards and one rushing touchdown on offense while putting up three total tackles and an interception on defense to help the Buffs win 49-24. This performance also makes him a favorite to win the Heisman Award this season.

Despite this, many college football fans still criticize and continue to troll him on social media. Coach Prime's eldest son, Deion Sanders Jr., shared a tweet on X to address the hate, stating that people are just jealous of how much Travis Hunter has achieved this season.

"Yall next level hating on Travis right now.. It's actually funny," Sander Jr. wrote while sharing a comic clip from MTV.

Travis Hunter and Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty are the two top dogs in the race for the Heisman trophy this season. Jeanty also had a great game during Boise State's victory against the Spartans in week 12.

He tallied a total of 159 yards and three touchdowns rushing as the Broncos are now a step closer to winning consecutive Mountain West championships. He also broke the program's single-season rushing record, which was previously set by Jay Ajayi back in 2014.

Paul Finebaum makes his pick for the Heisman trophy between Travis Hunter and Ashton Jeanty

After both Colorado and Boise State's game in Week 12, college football analyst Paul Finebaum made his pick as to who will win the Heisman this year.

On SportsCenter, Finebaum stated that the Colorado two-way star cemented his position in the Heisman race with his electrifying performance against Utah.

"I'm very Paul in on that. I think it is over. I know there's a couple of weeks left, but he (Hunter) in many ways, won the Heisman before the season because we knew how talented he was. It was just a matter of clearing the rest of the field out," Finebaum said."
"But yesterday, I believe the Heisman pose was clearly demonstrated, and he's got a few more games left. I don't think he can do any damage, because he's the best player in college football."

The Buffs have two more games left in the regular season. It will be interesting to see if they can emerge victorious in these final contests and solidify their spot in the conference title game and the playoffs.
