On Saturday, Colorado Buffaloes offensive lineman Kahlil Benson played for Coach Prime this season but announced his transfer to the Indiana Hoosiers, a team he played for in the 2022 and 2023 seasons. He only spent one season with the Buffaloes before taking a transfer.
Benson thanked the coaching staff, including Deion Sanders, in a heartfelt post. He wrote:
"Big Thanks To Coach Prime Coach Phil Loadholt And The Staff For Letting Me Showcase My Talents And To Be A Dominate Player. Also, The Guys On The Team For Keeping Me Motivated Always Remember To Believe And Never Stop Competing. Love Y’all, Will Always Be Family."
Coach Prime responded with a heartfelt response of his own.
"Love ya my man and tell mama she can still cook even tho u dipped on me. Lololol I’m gon miss ya man."
Coach Prime was not the only member of the Sanders family to wish Benson well. Deion Sanders Jr. followed. An analyst wrote on X that Benson should go get his confidence back and dominate. Deion Sanders Jr. had a simple response:
"100%."
Coach Prime supports Kenny Dillingham for making Big 12 proud
Deion Sanders is often generous in giving compliments to people he knows on X. He has made several posts in support of players who have transferred away from Colorado this season.
However, his support is not reserved for people he has coached. On New Year's Day, Deion Sanders shared his support for Arizona State coach Kenny Dillingham.
"Kenny Dillingham you represented all of us from the Big 12 well my brother. We are proud of u and your team. God bless u all. You’re awesome COTY."
He made this post shortly after the Arizona State Sun Devils were eliminated from the College Football Playoff. They lost in the second round to the Texas Longhorns, 39-31, in double overtime in the Peach Bowl. The Sun Devils were the representative from the Big 12 in the CFP.
