Coach Prime's son, Deion Sanders Jr., didn’t hold back when he called out EA Sports FC 25, labeling its gameplay as "terrible."
Many gamers are echoing his frustration, saying the game feels rushed and stiff. One player posted on X:
“I hate the movement seems stiff… the mechanics seem rushed.. hbu?” He wrote.
Sanders Jr. responded by writing:
“It’s more of a strategy game versus an actual skill game… I think it’s terrible though.”
Reportedly, players have been voicing concerns over several issues with the EA Sports FC 25 game:
Stiff Movement: The character movements feel rigid, making it seem like players are stuck on rails rather than moving naturally across the field. This has led to complaints about poor player acceleration and responsiveness during gameplay.
Sluggish Pace: Both player-controlled and AI characters are often slow to sprint, even when commands are given, creating a frustrating and slow-paced experience.
Ball Control Issues: The ball seems to stick to players unnaturally, making the game feel more like an arcade title than a true soccer simulation. On top of that, technical problems are adding to the disappointment:
Graphical Glitches: Bugs like disconnected commentary and visual hiccups during cutscenes have been reported.
Defensive AI Problems: Defenders struggle to keep up with faster attackers, leading to sloppy defense that many players find frustrating.
The new Rush mode in EA Sports FC 25
In the new Rush mode in EA Sports FC 25, the pitch is smaller than usual, and players don’t get tired over time. This means players can sprint as much as they want without worrying about fatigue. Plus, with only seven minutes of play, the action starts fast and stays intense.
According to Epic Games, the only player with a fixed position is the AI-controlled goalkeeper. Everyone else is free to switch between defense, midfield and attack.
Players will find themselves moving all over the field, blocking shots one moment and scoring goals the next. But just because a player can go anywhere doesn’t mean the player should forget about strategy. If a teammate is pushing forward, consider staying back to cover defensively in case possession is lost.
The rush mode can feel chaotic, like playground football with everyone chasing the ball. To win, focus on the basics — mark your opponents, and make sure someone is always covering the goal besides the AI goalie. If your whole team rushes forward, it leaves your goal wide open for a quick counterattack.
If players play smart defense in EA Sports FC 25, they will not only prevent goals but also earn praise in the post-match stats.
