The Colorado Buffaloes suffered a 31-28 loss to then-No. 18 Kansas State on Saturday, with much of the blame falling on quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Late in the game, with Colorado down by three and facing a critical fourth-and-5, Sanders opted for a deep 50-50 pass, resulting in a turnover on downs, which more or less sealed the defeat.
Despite throwing for 388 yards and three touchdowns, the costly play left many pointing fingers at Shedeur Sanders for the loss. However, Deion Sanders Jr., his brother, has no problem clapping back at trolls, doing so on X on Thursday.
“The narratives our own people make up is funny as hell. Like the QB checks out of all run plays (or any run plays at all). Or that the man is sub dissing the head coach in front of everybody.. shit be comical dawg.”
However, as they say, the internet never rests. One X user didn’t hold back:
"Bruh you n***as cry more than a newborn…"
That’s when Sanders fired back.
“Why every time a person of status says something or responds to something y’all claim the person sensitive?” Deion Sanders Jr. tweeted.
Coach Prime's firstborn, Bucky, has a no-nonsense style when it comes to dealing with the haters of both the Sanders clan and the Buffaloes. He often responds with tweets or videos on the CU program via the Well Off Media channel on YouTube.
Can Colorado Buffaloes still seal their chance to 12-team CFP under Deion Sanders?
The Colorado Buffaloes (4-2, 2-1 Big 12), who have no wins over ranked teams and with no currently ranked teams left on their schedule, face an uphill battle to secure a spot in the 12-team College Football Playoff. For Colorado to realistically secure a playoff berth, its best shot is winning the Big 12 championship.
A conference title would boost its résumé significantly and make it hard for the selection committee to exclude them. However, the Buffs, who last went to a bowl game with a 4-2 record in 2020, must avoid any more losses and string together a perfect finish to remain in contention.
Deion Sanders' squad needs to step up in the remaining games, their next being against the Arizona Wildcats (3-3, 1-2, Big 12) on Saturday, and capitalize on every opportunity with an incredibly slim margin of error ahead.
