"Deion Sanders' tenure has been a circus, and it's time for the show to end" — Sportswriter throws shade at Coach Prime's tactics in Boulder

Last year, Deion Sanders moved away from Jackson State to accept the job of being the head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes. Even his children decided to transition to Boulder, with Shedeur and Shilo Sanders arriving to play for Coach Prime as a part of the Buffs. Shedeur Sanders went on to become the starting QB, while Shilo embraced his role as a safety.

Despite all the hype surrounding Deion Sanders' arrival to Colorado, he finished his debut season with a 4-8 record, failing to qualify even for the bowl games. But given his celebrity status, Coach Prime and his children continued to be the talk of the town outside the football field.

Oliver Vandervoort of the Husker Corner believes that Sanders and his family need to be driven out of Colorado because they are bringing negative attention to the program and themselves. He believes that if Nebraska goes on to beat Colorado this upcoming September, then it will be a step closer to them leaving the program.

"Sanders' tenure has been a circus, and it's time for the show to end. Despite the hype, there's no evidence he is beneficial for CU," Vandervoort wrote.

Vandervoort also expressed his dismay with Deion Sanders' children. He mentioned Shilo Sanders' recent lawsuit and said the Sanders family had a "disruptive" presence.

"Its not just Deion that needs to depart. The entire Sanders clan, with their disruptive presence, needs to be removed. It's time to clean house, and a defeat to the Cornhuskers could be the catalyst for their exit," Vandervoort wrote.

Last season, one of the four victories for Deion Sanders came against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Shedeur Sanders put up 393 passing yards and two touchdowns, which helped the Buffs record a 36-14 victory over the Cornhuskers.

Deion Sanders speaks out his hopes with Colorado in 2024

In a recent tweet Coach Prime posted on X, he said he is looking forward to making the best of his time with the program. Sanders also highlighted the effort and dedication the players in his team are showing during the offseason and has his faith in God to drive the Buffs in the right direction:

Deion Sanders has utilized this offseason to revamp his team ahead of their Big 12 reunion. It will be interesting to see how this new Colorado roster performs on the field. Can they go on to have a better season than last year?
