Marcus Freeman's Notre Dame Fighting Irish defeated the Penn State Nittany Lions on Thursday 27-24 in the Orange Bowl. The win earned them a spot in the national championship game. On the other hand, the Ohio State Buckeyes defeated the Texas Longhorns 28-14 to book their matchup against Freeman's unit.

It is a full circle moment for Freeman as he played for the Buckeyes during his playing days. He was a member of the Buckeyes from 2006 to 2008, playing as a linebacker. After the game, ESPN College Football posted a graphic of Freeman from his playing days, and of him as a coach.

"Incredible story. Good man," one fan added.

Some fans were focused on his hairline.

"Shows how money can make your hairline grow back better," one fan added.
