The Cal Golden Bears are 3-1 and coming off their first loss of the season in Week 4 as they went down to Florida State 14-9 on the road.

Following their first loss of the season, Cal is now entering their first bye week of the campaign. Cal gets a week to reset and get some players healthy for another stretch of games.

Can Cal make it to the College Football Playoff this season?

Cal is unlikely to make it to the college football playoff this season, despite the 3-1 start.

The program does have crucial games against Miami, NC State, Stanford and Syracuse. If the Golden Bears can win them, Cal should play in the ACC title game, and with a win, the Golden Bears would punch a ticket to the playoff.
